KVK (ICAR-VPKAS) organized e-Gosthi on World Milk day

KVK, Bageshwar organized online e -Gosthi on the occasion of world milk day on 01-06- 2021. Dr. Kamal Kumar Pande In charge KVK welcomed all the participants and introduced the programme. Director ICAR-VPKAS, Almora Dr. Lakshmi Kant said in his inauguration lecture that milk is a completed food and dairy farming is an integral component of agriculture. Further many informative topics on Milk production were covered during the e- gosthi. Dr. J.K. Bisht Principal Scientist ICAR-VPKAS, Almora explained about the fodder management in hills, Chief Veterinary Officer, Bageshwar Dr. Uday Shankar provided information about various government schemes to the farmers. Dr. Mayank Maithani from Animal Breeding Farm, Kalsi, Dehradun delivered lecture on breed improvement through artificial insemination techniques. Speakers from KVK, Bageshwar Dr. Nawal Kishor Singh Mr. Medni Pratap Singh and Smt. Nidhi Singh gave elaborative information on animal health, nutrition management, Azolla production for livestock and hygienic milk production. Mr. Harish Chandra Joshi from KVK, Bageshwar delivered concluding lecture. Fifty participants did participation in this e- gosthi .
