Swachata Week

KVK, Bageshwar organized different activities during swachata week (26.09.2020-02.10.2020). KVK, Bageshwar participated in on line Gosthi on Gandhian Thoughts of ICAR-VPKAS, Almora on 26.09.2020. All staff of KVK participated in cleaning of office building, near demonstration unit, common path and farm area under cleanliness campaign. Also organized poster competition, poetry competition and videos on Gandhian thought for students through virtual mode. Organized swachata gosthi at its campus and at Devani village in Kapkot Block. Participated in invited lecture from PadmaShri Shri Anil Joshi, HESCO, Dehradun through on line webinar of ICAR-VPKAS, Almora.

Awareness Program

Parthenium eradication awareness program was organized by KVK, Kafligair on 22.08.2020. All the staff of KVK participated in uprooting the parthenium weed in the common path of Kafligair village. KVK, Kafligair has been organizing many activities and awareness program during many previous years for farmers, students and common people. These efforts let to aware the farmers to uproot this noxious weed around their premises. However, one socially aware youth of Kafligair Shri Rohit Goswami took it as a campaign. He himself along with his brother Kamal Goswami has been removing parthenium along the public areas from last two years. This year also they have uprooted and destroyed around 1 kilometer parthenium along the roads near Kafligair. They are being appreciated by everyone. KVK, Bageshwar also honored them and appealed others to follow them for eradicating the parthenium.
